Blogging Now, Meeting Later???

IF WE HOST IT, WILL THEY COME?

I've become a multi-spinning cyclist lately. Here's installment 2 of this week's spin cycle.

In my first post, I shared what I did last year. And this post is more about what I hope to do in 2009!!

Lately, I've been chatting a lot (daily) with my best bloggy friend forever, HeatherPride (who I call HP, and you can too!) She mentioned that she had spoken to my favorite Steenky Bee (and yours!) about how much fun it would be to have a get together of our very own. They also had the where-with-all to bring it up to the stylin' Stiletto Mom who agreed that this was a perfectly brilliant plan (yes, of course I watched Legally Blonde on Oxygen this weekend)!!!

We kind of agreed, that though we love the spirit of that other she-blogger convention, the pomp and circumstance of keynote speakers and workshops and the stress of whether we'd actually be invited to a party or dining alone would be a bit much to handle (the other three? Would so be invited to all the cool parties, by the way).

Which is why we have been thinking about coming up with an alternative even... So without further ado (drum roll please......)

WHERE: The Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, CO Cool factoid: The Stanley Hotel was the inspiration for the story The Shining, by Stephen King. Now who's up for a ghost tour?

WHO: YOU! (Really, did you think you weren't invited? Of course you are!!)

ITINERARY: You. Us. Food. Wine. (If that's your thing. Substitute the beverage of your choice.) Shopping. Rocky Mountain highs. Now doesn't that sound like the kind of girls' weekend you can sink your teeth into? So think about it. If you're interested, shoot us an email at blogtherockies@gmail.com. We'd like to have a head count with a minimum deposit in February, so we can try and set up some group rates, so let us know by then (if not sooner!!)
