What If...

I have rejoined the ranks of the "in-crowd" and am finally participating in Spin Cycle again!! It's about dang time!!! So this week the ab-fab, Jen (The Queen of the Spin Cycle) has given us free reign by giving us the subject, "What If."

I've thought long and hard (read: 5 minutes here and there) about what to post.
I tried to think of specifics but I don't know. I've gone through some garbage, but it's brought me where I am. So I'm going to share a few what ifs- cause and effect!

What if...

I was an only child? I wouldn't have my amazing siblings. But I would have lots more stuff!!

I never joined the choir? I wouldn't have met some of my most amazing friends from high school and my first love.

I never met my first love? I wouldn't have gotten to go to Prom my freshman year.

I never went to college? I really have no idea. Would I have a job?

I never broke up with my ex? I would have been in a verbally abusive marriage, probably divorced, and completely miserable.

I never got my Explorer (her name was Emma)? I wouldn't have had so much fun driving my dream car!! I also probably wouldn't have been in as much debt.

I never took the Customer Satisfaction job at MBNA? I wouldn't have found out that recruiting is truly my calling.

I never found my current position? I would have lost my job 2 years ago.

I never bought my house? I'd be homeless.

I never started blogging? Perish the thought!!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine it now!!!!

So there are some random what ifs. I think our whole lives are filled with choices.
What if I have a peanut butter sandwich instead of soup? Peanut butter gives me heartburn.
What if I go to bed an hour later? I'll be tired.
What if Grey's Anatomy was based on real life (yes, I'm watching Grey's right now, why do you ask?) Actually I have some friends in med school and some of it could be!
What if I didn't have DVR? Ohmygosh, I don't think I could deal with using the VCR again.
What if my cat could talk back? Oh I can't imagine the crap she would tell me!!
What if there really were vegetarian vampires? I finished the series, read the online excerpt of Midnight Sun, but still haven't seen the movie!!
What if I couldn't go to BlogtheRockies this summer? Nothing will stop me!!
What if C-A-T really spelled DOG? Bonus if you know that movie quote!!!

I honestly don't know what I would do without my DVR! Sad isn't it? My kids will be watching a tv show and as soon as the commericals come on tell me to skip them! At least they miss all the subliminal brainwashing for new toys!!! : )

I'm watching Greys too! I cannot believe you also worked at MBNA! I remember when they told us they were closing our branch, half of me thought I'll be out of a job. The other half thought Yay! You have great "What if's"!
You're linked!

If Grey's Anatomy was based on real life, I would hunt Meredith down and slap the snot out of her.
Seriously.;)

My life was a lot like Grey's at one point, it wasn't a good thing.

Soup is so much better for you than peanut butter.

And do you remember what a total pain in the rear it was to program your VCR??? I think I only managed to do it correctly a couple of times. Yeesh.

Look at you, spinning again. Great what if's. I think I would die without my DVR. I know it's a bit dramatic but it's true.

Peanut butter, huh? That's why you are a chocolate chip or raisen cookie right.
It's better to have loved and lost, then never have loved at all.
